When doing yoga, tai chi or other exercise, some people prefer loose, comfortable clothing and others want to wear form fitting attire for a sculpted look. For beginners who might feel self-conscious or are struggling with their weight, a loose t-shirt and shorts or sweatpants are acceptable. It’s important the clothing offers enough support in the right areas if you need it, including a neck, wrist, knee, or back support. Exercise shoes are also important, to prevent slipping and to provide traction on surfaces.

Clothing material should be lightweight enough to allow sweat to evaporate. Cotton, linen and new high tech work out textiles are good choices for exercise. Avoiding leather and suede sneakers and opting for new cruelty free and vegan choices are better for the environment and our spiritual wellness.
