Long sleeves and long pants where the body is fully clothed is the style for this type of exercise. Traditional tai chi or qigong clothing is loose pants and a tunic. Shoes are flat and comfortable with non-slip soles that allow for a full range of motions. The material would be cotton or linen and the colors are solid colors in a neutral or muted tone. There are many styles of tai chi and qigong sneakers and clothing available on the internet. Non leather sneakers are best, in keeping with a health and wellness theme.
Modern day attire could be sweatpants and a long-sleeved t-shirt. This would be appropriate if practicing in a group setting and you wish to be fully clothed according to the traditional dress.
